still figuring it out: my healing journey

No one tells you that survival mode doesn’t care where you move.

Turns out you can finally get your visa, hit those 5-figure months, get the CEO title, maybe even score an apartment with an amazing view, and still feel like, “Wait, am I actually safe now?”

Guess what? Your head and your body don’t always get the update. I left Istanbul for Barcelona, stuffed my life into a couple of suitcases, and thought I’d magically chill out by the sea. But my brain just packed up all the stress and came along for the ride.

Growth is messy, even when you think you’ve “made it.”

But then, something started to shift. The anxiety didn’t just disappear (I mean, I’m not a robot), but things finally got a little quieter inside. Like, for the first time, I could actually hear myself think. I started noticing little parts of me I’d ignored for ages, buried under all that hustle. Some days I even felt like, hey, I actually know this person.

Real growth isn’t some shiny Instagram moment. It’s slow, awkward, and sometimes you feel like you’re moving backward. You’ll hit your goals and—surprise—the old junk still sneaks in.

Barcelona didn’t fix me. But it did let me start being honest about who I am, even when I’m not hustling just to stay afloat. Facing that stuff? Hard, but kind of needed.

Building a business while healing? It’s not picture-perfect. It’s hard, confusing, and honestly, very real. Juggling work, life, relationships, and teaching yourself it’s safe to actually breathe? It knocks you down, but it also shows you what you’re really made of.

So if you’re hitting your numbers and everyone’s cheering, but inside you’re still kind of lost? You’re not failing. You’re just learning what it’s like to live, not just survive.

That’s what healing is. No trophies, just taking it one day at a time.

I’m right here with you, still figuring it out. Maybe that’s what this is all really about.
